"Jim Stoltz is a
music man of exuberance and passion, with more to say in one song
than Frank Sinatra ever managed in a whole bloody concert."
-- Edward Abbey |

Jim has been touring with this folk style, multimedia show, Forever Wild, since 1986. The show combines his live music and poetry with beautiful slides taken on his long wilderness treks, weaving and fading into each other in a powerful dance of images. The combination of the incredible dual images (using two projectors and a dissolve unit) and his moving songs, results in a powerful, inspirational program. This merging of the media captures the magic and uniqueness of the wild country like no other presentation youve seen! |
| "Better than postcards, his exquisite photographs led me through the wilderness he walks and illuminated his songs. They danced and dissolved at just the right moment. The timing of the lyrics was almost eerie." |

| During the winter when Walkin' Jim isn't on the road with Forever
Wild or out walking in the wild places, he performs at the Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana. Jim drives a
horse drawn sleigh a few nights a week, taking folks up to a log cabin
lit by candelight and heated with a hundred year old woodstove. After
a tasty prime rib dinner Jim pulls out the guitar and spins his tales
and tunes. He also does a shortened version of his Forever Wild
show one night a week down at the Ranch proper.
If you're ever in Big Sky during the winter call the Lone Mountain Ranch (406-995-4644) for details on Jim's performances and information on cross-country skiing on their premier trail system. If youd like to bring Walkin Jim and his Forever Wild
